Getting started with Edge API

Our Edge APIs integrate directly with on-premises systems and hardware, operating entirely within the local network. The Base URL is set by the network configuration, usually using the system’s local IP address, and access is secured through local network protocols. This ensures on-site control with minimal reliance on external connectivity.

Each installation—whether on FeedStation, BargeControl, or other systems—includes APIs for seamless hardware integration. These APIs enable developers to control equipment directly, supporting automation and real-time operations.

Edge APIs offer a standardized interface across installations for tasks like feeding, monitoring, and hardware control. Designed for low latency, reliability, and local autonomy, they also integrate with third-party tools, making them a flexible solution for extending on-premises hardware functionality.
